31st
Annual Historic Pendleton Spring Jubilee |
|
|
HISTORIC PENDLETON SPRING
JUBILEE began in 1978 as a means to inaugurate
tourism in Anderson, Oconee and Pickens Counties. It
has become so much more – a rite of spring, award-winning
event, premier festival of the upstate and a source
of pride in the community.
Over 300 artisans vie for the coveted 90 spaces. Local
and regional entertainers fill the air with music. The
Scottish student performances always bring the largest
crowd with a show of hospitality that warms their hearts.
Because of the festival’s reputation for consistency
and quality, thousands of people pour into historic Pendleton
the first weekend in April.
Inclement weather does not stop the show. Spring rains
and winds may dampen the grounds, but the shoppers come
because they know they can purchase one-of-a-kind creations.
Many artisans have such a following that the buyers help
them set up their booths so they can have first choice
of their work.

The
Historic Pendleton Spring Jubilee has earned respect
through the last thirty years by being twice named
the BEST FESTIVAL IN SOUTH CAROLINA IN A COMMUNITY
OF LESS THAN 3000, a TOP 100 EVENT by the American
Bus Association and multi-winner of the TOP TWENTY
EVENTS IN THE SOUTHEAST by the Southeast Tourism
Society. Come and be part of an award-winning day
in a beautiful historic setting. |

"Pendleton
is a charming, historic town and is especially
beautiful in the spring! The town square
is the perfect setting for this quality
arts and craft show! I’m proud to
exhibit my pottery at the Spring Jubilee
and look forward to its 30th year celebration." |

"We
have done art shows for 26 years and can
honestly say that the Spring Jubilee in
Pendleton, South Carolina, is one of our
favorites. The promoters sincerely care
about the exhibitors. We love the setting
and we sell well. Its like taking a vacation
but we make money!" |

"The
Spring Jubilee is at the top of my list
of favorite shows. As an artist I do many
shows. The quality of the show is most important.
I only show at "juried shows",
so that the people visiting and potential
buyers are not disappointed when shopping
for a gift or a personal item such as jewelry,
pottery, or a painting for a very special
place in their home. The Spring Jubilee
is at the top of my spring shows list. The
artists are all professional people, as
well as the staff putting the show together.
This show is worth a drive, or even a rainy,
windy day. You will not be disappointed
when you see the fine arts and crafts that
Spring Jubilee has to offer." |
